Kaikoura Seaside lodge is Family owned and operated; we are passionate about providing a true Kiwi experience, sharing our culture & local knowledge, our love for the environment and creating long lasting connections.
We provide clean, friendly, safe and budget friendly accommodation, without compromising on value. We are a small lodge of 12 rooms, 40 person max occupancy throughout our Dorms, Twins, Doubles and Family's options.
We welcome Group/Private bookings, such as tours/family gatherings/events by Enquiry, or for more info click "Group Bookings" tab above.

Thankfully time has moved on since these brutal days, but the history remains as a reminder of why we should continue to protect our environment and wildlife.Emporium Brewery, mini golf and escape room A great place for anyone who likes beer, or has kids!A chilled relaxed space to try Kaikoura's own craft beers, try around of mini golf or challenge your mates to the escape room.Dolphin Encounter Whether you want to swim with dolphins, or watch. Dolphin encounter is one of the world's best ways to do it.No to mention the amazing backdrop of the mountains in the background!Whale Watch Whale watch vessels are crewed by a friendly team of Captains and Tour Hosts experienced in interacting with the local Marine Wildlife off the Kaikōura Coast covering Whales, Dolphins, Seals and Seabirds.Our team are very experienced operating commercial passenger vessels off the Kaikōura coast, hold expert knowledge on the local area, sea and weather conditions and are fully trained in all aspects of safety.Kaikoura Eco zip Views that leave you speechless, thrills that leave you breathless – this is Kaikōura like you’ve never seen it before. Your 3.5-hour eco-tourism adventure starts in the centre of town.
